Career before injury

At the European Championships, which took place in 2003, Fedorov was able to win the title of absolute champion. In the same year, he took part in the Russian Grand Prix for the first time, where he took third place. The Russian let Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler, who are the biggest stars in the world of bodybuilding, go ahead.

Alexander Fedorov took part in the competition again a year later. In 2004, he was able to rise one step higher, winning a silver medal. Ronnie Coleman won the competition.

In 2005, as the “Russian Mr. Olympia,” Fedorov was invited to the Mr. Olympia competition. The competition took place in Las Vegas, USA. He became the first athlete with a Russian passport to take part in this tournament. Fedorov managed to take 20th place.

A year later, he competed in the open bodybuilding category at the Austrian Grand Prix. At the tournament, the Russian was able to take 10th place. In 2006, Alexander was seriously injured. He tore the tendon muscles in his chest. After the athlete underwent surgery, he decided to announce the end of his sports career. Alexander Fedorov was 28 years old at that time.

Career resumption

For eight years, Fedorov was away from big-time sports. It was eating him up from the inside. Throughout this time, he was engaged in training, and in 2014 he announced that he was returning to competitive bodybuilding. Alexander Fedorov also took part in competitions in 2014, which took place in his hometown. In St. Petersburg, the athlete took eighth place.

During 2020, the bodybuilder took part in five serious competitions in the open category. First, Alexander went to competitions in the United States of America, where he participated in tournaments in Orlando and New York. In the Big Apple, Fedorov took seventh place, and in Florida he took third place.

After two American stages, the Russian bodybuilder returned to Europe, where he took part in competitions that took place in Madrid and Prague. Fedorov failed to get into the top ten in either Spain or the Czech Republic - 12th and 14th places, respectively. At the end of the year, the athlete was invited to another tournament - in Lahti. In the Finnish city, Alexander again remained outside the top ten, taking 11th place. In 2020, he again traveled to the United States of America. This time the Grand Prix took place in a city in Maryland called Baltimore. Alexander Fedorov took 9th place at the end of the competition.
