Materials:
- round wire wreath base,
- decorative mesh in rolls about 50 cm wide (several colors, compatible with each other),
- fluffy decorative wire.
TIP: If you don’t have such a base for a wreath, then you can cut it out of thick cardboard with a torus thickness of -10-15 cm. Then attaching the mesh can be done using a needle and thread or a glue gun.
Manufacturing stages:
Step 1:
- Cut approximately 25-30 cm of mesh and roll it into a roll. Squeeze in the center with your fingers. To make it more convenient, you can take someone as an assistant to hold the packages.
- You will need many of these rolls; they do not have to be exactly the same length .
Step 2:
- Group the rolls together in groups of 4 , connecting the centers, and tying them in this place with fluffy wire. Leave the ends of the wire for attachment to the base.
- Tie each such part to the base of the wreath (with the remaining ends of the wire). They should be close to each other, leaving no free space.
- Continue until the entire space is filled.

- For work you will need about a dozen thin birch branches. Weave the branches together to form a ring, which you then secure with dark twine. The thickness of the wreath can be chosen arbitrarily.
- Some of the most popular New Year's colors are yellow, golden and red shades, so the decorations for the wreath should be chosen in this color palette. Attaching branches with hot glue
A DIY New Year's wreath made from Christmas tree branches can not only decorate a festive interior, but also fill the atmosphere of the room with an excellent pine aroma.
For this wreath you will need:
- cardboard;
- paper;
- spruce branches;
- red yarn;
- bell;
- artificial branch with berries;
- hot glue gun;
- spray paint.
Manufacturing process:
- First make a cardboard wreath base. Using a compass or at least a lid from a kitchen utensil, you need to draw two concentric circles on a sheet of cardboard and then cut out a ring using scissors.
- Wrap the ring in crumpled paper.
- Take spruce branches. Divide the paws that are too large into smaller branches.
- Attach the pine branches to the base with hot glue, one at a time. This should be done so that the base of each branch is covered by the fluffier part of the other branch. The entire base must be covered with twigs so that there are no gaps left.
- Wrap the wreath in red yarn. Glue pine cones to the wreath and distribute artificial berries in random order.
- Find a spot for the bell, then cover the Christmas twig wreath with fake snow from a spray can.
Of course, you can do without natural coniferous branches, replacing them with commercially available artificial spruce garlands, from which it is very easy to make wreaths. However, in this case, a DIY New Year's wreath made from branches will turn out beautiful, but will not exude a wonderful pine aroma.
Tying branches to a wire frame
There is another way to make a New Year's wreath from coniferous branches. In this case, you need to collect the branches into small bundles, and only then attach these same bundles to the base.

A Christmas wreath made of pine cones is very simple to make, but its main advantage is that it is stored for a long time and does not fall off, unlike a spruce wreath. It can be sent for storage until next New Year.

- Dry cones from 30 or more pieces, depending on the diameter of the wreath
- The base for the wreath (if you don’t have one ready like the photo, cut out a torus from thick cardboard)
- Glue gun.

- Now let’s fill in the middle row - it should be on top of the inner and outer rows. You can attach the cones not vertically upward, but slightly pointing them in different directions, filling the voids.
- We decorate with sprigs of berries or live spruce.

New Year's paper wreath
In modern cities, it often happens that there is nowhere to get vines, spruce branches and cones, then ordinary paper can help out, from which you can also get nice products that are not inferior in beauty to real wreaths made from natural materials. See how you can make a New Year's wreath with your own hands step by step with a photo - you can work with it, even involving small children, since there are no thorny needles here.
Made from cardboard and corrugated paper
This option can be used to usefully recycle old wrapping paper. In addition, you can find use for scrap paper, pages of old books and magazines.
- You need to cut a ring out of cardboard (for example, a box from some household appliance).
- Cut the corrugated paper into squares with sides of about 10 cm, and their number will depend on the size of the base and the expected splendor of the wreath.
- These paper scraps need to be further crumpled in your hands, and then glued to the base, placing them so tightly that there are no gaps between them.
- Cut a strip of red corrugated paper and twist it with your fingers to make it look like in the photo. Attach the decoration to the wreath.
Examples:
From wrapping paper
- Cut out the base from cardboard or thick paper.
- You need to cut a lot of leaves from wrapping paper - you can have the same ones, but you can also have different sizes. You will need about 70 such leaves.
- Next, the leaves need to be glued to the base as shown in the photo. If different paper is used, then it should be alternated, forming patterns. The remaining leaves can be pasted where they are located less densely.
- You need to make a loop from ribbon or twine, which should be wrapped around the wreath, and the ends should be passed through the hole.
- The wreath is ready - all that remains is to hang it in place.

How to make a Christmas wreath from fir branches
When your home smells of resins and pine needles, your mood immediately lifts. That is why it is customary to put up Christmas trees. But you can do without it by borrowing twigs from this forest beauty.
They need to take those that are livelier and have a lot of needles. By the way, ask Christmas tree sellers; they often cut off the lower branches and sell them too.
How to make a wreath from them? But now I’ll tell you in detail, and I’ll also share master classes.
When you bought the twigs, you need to sort them. Divide them into sticks and twigs themselves.
Then carefully twist the sticks into a ring. It is better to secure them with wire. But, to advice. just take a ring made of polystyrene foam or paper and attach branches to it. This will be easier, because the sticks themselves are prickly, and they don’t often want to take a round shape.
Then we weave our beautiful and fluffy branches into the base.
Please note right away that since we use natural material, your hands will be covered in resin. And it is quite difficult to wash off.
So, an option for making jewelry on wire. It is more convenient to weave branches not one at a time, but in a bouquet at once.
Take a round double ring of wire as a basis.
Then we put together a bouquet of 3-5 branches, tie the base with threads and put it on the ring. We try to get the base between the wires. We fix it with a thinner wire or thread.
The wreath does not have to be hung on the wall or door, it will also look beautiful on the table as a decoration.
It is better to decorate it with natural materials: candied fruits, dried oranges, pine cones and deludes, as well as cinnamon and cloves.
New Year's wreath made of Christmas balls
To make a New Year's wreath from Christmas balls with your own hands, you will need:
- 6 packs of 12 Christmas balls;
- a couple of Christmas tree decorations of a similar color;
- wire hanger as a frame;
- wire;
- ribbon;
- pliers.
Manufacturing process:
- Bend the hanger so that it looks like a circle.
- Unwind the wire with pliers and straighten the tip as much as possible.
- Next, one by one you need to string the balls onto the wire, trying to place them as compactly as possible and at different angles so that the wire does not show between them.
- If the balls do not hold securely, they can additionally be attached with hot glue.
- After all the balls are strung on the wire, its ends must be twisted again with pliers.
- You will get a wonderful New Year's wreath made of balls.
- Wrap the wire tape around the hook a couple of times, and secure it on the back side with hot glue or tape.
- From another piece of ribbon, fold several loops and tie a bow, which can be secured with a drop of hot glue for security.
If you replace shiny plastic balls with small balls of knitting thread or balls rolled from wool, then such a New Year's wreath made of balls will bring more warmth and comfort to the festive interior.

New Year's wreath on the door made of yarn
This product will be of more interest to crafters who knit. Because for this New Year's decoration you will need yarn. The color scheme of the wreath is varied - white, green, gray tones. You will also need PVA glue, scissors, a knife, toilet paper rolls, you can take from a paper towel, the main thing is that it is the same diameter, newsprint, one or two pine cones, some dry berries.
Stages of making a New Year's wreath from yarn
To create a frame, you need to take the bushings and cut them into pieces of 3-5 cm. To prevent the bushing from becoming wrinkled, you need to cut it with a stationery knife. This will keep the round shape.
After this, on a large empty table or on the floor, you need to lay out all the pieces to see what size the wreath will be. All the pieces are collected onto a thread or wire. The thread is tied, the wire is twisted. The result was a circle layout for the wreath.
Next, take an old newspaper and cut it into strips. And also PVA glue. You need a lot of it, so you can replace it with boiled paste.
Soak the newspaper well in glue and glue the neatly assembled bushings on the thread. For good impregnation, the glued strips of newspaper need to be coated on top.
The result is a frame for the future wreath. Let everything dry for now. Now, after the base for the craft has dried, it’s time to decorate with threads. The yarn should be thick, 2 colors.
The process of making a wreath with threads
The main color should be completely wrapped around the entire circle. The tip of the thread is hidden inside the winding. After this, if desired, a square is knitted on knitting needles using the same threads of the same color, the size of the inner radius of the wreath base. The inside is sewn up with this square. The second tone of the thread is on the winding on top. It must be rare. Approximately 1 turn per 10 cm, after which the wreath can be decorated. Here you have a choice of ideas: pine cones, rare Christmas tree branches, knitted flowers or natural berries, apples or candies.
Option for the design and decoration of a wreath with pine cones
For individuality, you can attach Christmas tree decorations and rain to the wreath. But there is no need to do it sloppy.
The yarn should be visible - this is the basis of the wreath on the door. This New Year's door decoration will be distinguished by its simplicity and originality.
New Year's wreaths made of fabric
Wreaths made from fabric can look very dignified. They can be made using different technologies, so the results will look different. Here are only two options for making New Year's wreaths from woven materials, although in fact there are many more.
From scraps
Strips of fabric or small ribbons are tied close to one another to the prepared wire frame.
- Prepare a large number of ribbons 10 cm long and 1.5-2 cm wide. To make the product more decorative, the edges of the ribbons can be trimmed with curly scissors.
- The most difficult thing to make is a frame, which must contain several rows of wire. It can be made from knitting wire or hangers.
- Tie ribbons on top of the wire.
- This makes a wonderful fluffy fabric wreath.

From burlap
You can even use burlap to make a New Year's wreath.
- To make a wreath frame, you can buy galvanized binding wire, which needs to be cut into pieces 85, 100, 115 and 130 centimeters long.
- The wires should be connected by bending the ends with pliers.
- Then you need to cut off a few more wire pieces, fold them several times and slide them under the frame, and then bend them to the front side - this way the outer and inner rings are fixed.
- The loose ends of the wire must be wrapped around the inner rings, after which the frame must be leveled.
- Cut the burlap into strips.
- Secure the tip of the strip to the base with a piece of wire, hot glue, or simply tying it. Move the strip closer to the jumper so that it is on the left side. Next, you need to make folds in each gap. Twist the tape, move it towards the jumper, and repeat the same manipulations from the inside to the outer edge. If the tape ends, it must be secured in the same way as its beginning.
- The resulting interesting wreath can then be decorated with lace, Christmas tree decorations, and artificial branches.

We make it from felt, I attach patterns
Now let's see what can be made from felt. I really liked the fabric poinsettia idea. This is the most New Year and Christmas flower. And this is exactly what we will make from felt.
For one flower, cut out the details using this template.
You need one flower and 5 petals.
Glue the petals onto the base in the center using hot glue or super glue.
We flatten the leaves at the end.
Decorate the middle with beads or seed beads.
This is how the blanks are made.
Now we cut out a ring from cardboard and attach the flowers in any order. Between them you can put ribbons, cones, balls and Christmas tree branches.
Here is another felt wreath pattern.
You can take any toys, the main thing is that there is a New Year's theme. For example, let’s attach this felt Santa Claus to the base of the wreath.
The base can also be made of fabric. To do this, cut out two rings from the fabric. We sew them together. Turn it inside out and stuff it with cotton wool or padding polyester. And we will decorate with Frost and a felt deer.
You can simply wrap the base with yarn.
