Do you like order in the kitchen? I really love. I just don't have time to look after him. That's why I love simple life recipes. Today I’ll tell you about the simplest thing: how to clean up your kitchen cabinets in a few hours with perfect results and forever.

One fine day I realized that a mess in closets is evil! And she spent the day cleaning out her closets. I'm happy with the result. Now I’m not ashamed to open cabinets in front of guests, everything is beautifully arranged there, the main thing is that we ourselves know what and where it is.

I think everyone is familiar with this picture?

Yes, to my shame, just recently I had such an ugly mess in my closets. I just didn't find the time to put everything in order.

And now it’s like this:

Now the whole course of action is step by step:

First, I measured the heights of everything I had in my closets. For example, in this closet (photo above), out of habit, we stored medicines, vitamins, herbs, and chocolate was always hanging out at the bottom.

Based on the storage list, I came to the conclusion how many shelves I needed (I got 4 pieces).

We cut them out of gray chipboard and inserted them into the closet.

Then I went to the stores and started looking for containers that would suit me. Ikea white plastic containers turned out to be ideal. And I bought 4 pieces.

Medicines with vitamins and chocolate bars fit well in them.

I drew and printed beautiful labels on thick paper and glued them with regular glue. Ready.

I did the same with the second cabinet, only there was all the glass on the shelves. All glasses and shot glasses found a place.

I always kept spices and tea in another cupboard:

Here I did the same. I measured the heights of all the jars, mentally divided them into shelves, then we cut out the shelves and put them in place. We also made a spice rack ourselves and hung it on the cabinet door, which turned out to be very convenient.

We reduced the depth of the shelves inside the cabinet to the depth of the spice shelf - this can be seen in the photo. This gives us plenty of storage space and ergonomic use of space.

I also put a label on each jar with the name of the spice.

On the door of the adjacent cabinet, where everything for my pastry hobby is stored, I hung spoons and measuring cups on hooks - very convenient!

These small transformations can be done in just one day and you will get incredible pleasure from both the process and the result! As a result of my work, I came to the following conclusions and now I can safely give practical advice to you, my friends:

The basic rule for putting things in order in kitchen cabinets and drawers is to get rid of excess and unnecessary items, group together items that are similar in function and use, and place the resulting groups in areas where they are used.

First of all, I would like to warn you against trying to take everything apart at once. Considering that sometimes clearing out one kitchen drawer can be as difficult as organizing an entire room, there is a high probability that your fuse or time resources will dry up once you remove the entire contents of all drawers and cabinets, leading to even more chaos. Therefore, the surest way to achieve the desired result is to take your time and break the work into stages (for example, one box a day).

At this stage, our goal is to free up space in cabinets and drawers to store what you actually use regularly. As a result of the work done, you should be able to easily and quickly find the desired item without spending extra effort on rearranging other items. In addition, drawers and cabinets should be easy to open and nothing should fall out when opened. To achieve this, you must evaluate the usefulness of this or that item as objectively as possible, ruthlessly getting rid of everything dubious and of little use (do you really need so many containers or so many knives? What is the use of a container without a lid?).
