Reworks from old things: for the cottage and garden (100 photos)

Amazing ideas for repurposing old clothes: another batch

I have again accumulated ideas to redo and update something. And again sweaters, pullovers, jumpers, sweatshirts, sweatshirts. After all, you also have to replenish your wardrobe with them almost every season - that’s how they accumulate. And nothing can be done about it - we need to adapt, update, redo something again, adding details in order to minimize the eternal women's problem of what to wear!

So, today we’ll talk about a little bit of everything: sweatshirts, jumpers, men’s shirts, T-shirts and... see for yourself

Never before has a sweatshirt looked so feminine as after this alteration. But now it’s easy to wear with jeans and a denim skirt, because...

In the recent past, a sweatshirt or sweatshirt was considered exclusively sportswear, but now everything has changed dramatically and this wardrobe item is worn anywhere, both for a walk and for business events. By adding a little guipure to a sweatshirt you will create a romantic and feminine look. I’ve never seen such a charming makeover of a sweatshirt before...

A beautiful detail makes all the difference!

Chic applique on a sweatshirt made of denim and large beads

This piece from Moschino is beautiful, fashionable and modern. What if you made something similar from several pullovers or T-shirts? Simply assemble, sew on a machine and decorate the seams with hand stitches.

The Valentino jumper is brilliant! I have these blouses, mostly black. Lengthening it with silk or tulle is no special work, but you can wear it proudly!

Well, this is a sweatshirt. But it could very well be a jumper. Let's cut it in the center, add blocks of matching color and that's it!

Is it true that everything that is put on over the head has no room for combinations? We cut it, decorate it and... wear it with pleasure.

Sweater + warm (flannel or thick) shirt. Agree, an interesting combination. The main thing is warm

I love this option: sweatshirt + flannel shirt + applique. Fresh and youthful!

From a man's shirt - make yourself a shirt! I have my own corduroy one, I don’t wear it, it makes me look fat. It never occurred to me to fit it by cutting it

What do you think of this idea? Well, it just suits everyone, in my opinion

Also sweatshirts, or in our opinion jumpers, because

Knitwear + fabric. Good idea!

An equally successful idea for remaking a black knitted sweater

But these ideas deserve special respect. Simply because a light and small poncho is always and everywhere appropriate. You understood correctly - especially in the country. My dacha is in the forest, and sitting by the fire in such a thing is simply stylish. And we have no equal, right? This poncho can be made from various old sweaters.

Another option for a homemade poncho that can be sewn from old scarves

When your favorite sweater becomes a little small, we will make it a little wider. Place it at the sides and sew on a chic collar

This idea, of course, is not for everyone: you will have to tinker. But worthy of attention. What’s interesting is that all seams are handmade.

What to do if the sweater is narrow at the hips? Don't be sad - just correct the inconsistencies

Well, classic. We collect three T-shirts (or parts thereof) into one. Creative, unlike anything else. It should turn out great!

We hope these makeovers have inspired you. Show your imagination - feel like a fashion designer, because original things are always held in high esteem. Good luck with your rework and creative inspiration!

Basic recommendations

Remaking old clothes is a certain type of sewing art that is fashionable and popular. A lot of different “designer things” are made using unnecessary scraps, pieces and trimmings.

Almost any old clothing will be suitable for creating a new interesting thing, but in order for the efforts to be worth it and the result to be excellent, you should listen to some recommendations:

  • If an item is very worn, it should not be used for a new item. For example, the colors are very faded and it looks ugly, there are a large number of holes that cannot be trimmed or masked, and any other errors;
  • To make new things you will have to use a sewing machine. Especially if you are sewing a bag;
  • If the fabric has lost color, but it can be redyed, use only high-quality paints;
  • Before cutting an old item, attach patterns from a new item to it. Place them so that the areas of greatest wear are cut off;
  • Don’t be afraid to use materials from several old ones when making one thing;
  • Use additional decorations. These could be beads, braid, lace or some other additions;
  • Do not leave old buttons on a new product;
  • To make a new thing for yourself, you don’t have to use your old items. The larger the size of clothing taken for alteration, the easier it is to create something new from it;
  • The main thing is, don’t be afraid to combine and experiment.

Even if something suddenly doesn’t work out, you shouldn’t be upset about it, because the thing was not needed, but the time spent is an interesting experience for the development of other creative ideas.

Evening blouse with bow

Required material:

  • black classic t-shirt;
  • lace fabric for decoration;
  • black men's bow tie;
  • scissors;
  • needle and thread;
  • chalk for marking;
  • ruler or knitted meter tape;
  • textile pins.

Process:

  1. Lay the T-shirt on a flat surface and smooth along all the seams. Measure under the sleeves and draw a straight line with chalk. Cut the fabric along this line.
  2. From the top of the T-shirt, cut off the neck and sleeves along the seam line. We also cut the part into 2 parts along the shoulders.
  3. Using this blank, you need to cut out 2 identical parts from openwork fabric.
  4. Using textile pins along the wrong side, fasten the lace part to the lower cut part of the T-shirt. Sew a new T-shirt and stitch all the edges.
  5. On the front of the new T-shirt, in the center, sew a bow tie bow as decoration.

Designer palatine skirt

This skirt can be worn anywhere in the summer because it looks stylish, light and graceful.

To make it you will need:

  • A huge scarf (palatine) in the shape of a rectangle. The fabric should be light with loose edges;
  • Thin lace;
  • A piece of cardboard;
  • Pins, scissors and needle and thread.

A good place to start is by measuring your waist circumference and doing some math.

To the total waist volume we add its half girth, and divide the resulting result by 3.14. The resulting figure is equal to the diameter of the circle that needs to be drawn on paper or cardboard. The resulting circle is divided into four sectors by straight lines. The intersection of the lines should occur in the center at a right angle.

Cut out the resulting circle from paper or cardboard. We take our canvas and fold it in half twice. We apply one sector of the circle to the inner corner of the rectangle obtained from the fabric, fix it with pins so that the sector does not move out, trace it and cut it out with scissors. The edge of the skirt along the waist must be folded about 2 centimeters and secured with pins along the entire length. At the same distance from each other, we cut small holes into which we thread the lace prepared in advance. At each end of the lace we tie knots of such a size that the lace cannot slip out of the holes made. And we get a completely new stylish skirt!

Crafts from old things: grocery bag

You will need:

- T-shirt (preferably sleeveless)

- scissors

- thread and needle, or sewing machine

1. If you have a T-shirt with sleeves, you need to cut them off. Also cut off the top of the shirt (at the neck).

2. Turn the shirt inside out and sew up the bottom. You can also use superglue or hot glue.

3. You can decorate the bag a little (optional):

— Fold the bottom of the bag about 5 cm and make cuts about 1-1.5 cm deep along the entire fold. The distance between the cuts is approximately 3 cm.

— Bend the bag another 5 cm and make cuts again.

-You can continue making cuts all the way to the top of the bag.

4. You can also decorate the handles. To do this, you first need to cut them off, then cut them into 3 strips, weave the strips into a braid and sew them to the bag.
