Marina Demchenko, creating a cozy and inviting interior of the Coffeestoria coffee shop, focused on an abundance of wood, soft diffused lighting, loft elements and comfortable seating.

This coffee shop, on the one hand, is not the only Coffeestoria coffee shop in the city, and on the other, its owners did not set out to design all their establishments in a single concept. On the contrary, Marina Demchenko was required to create a unique and interesting interior, with its own “tricks” and unusual accents.

The designer was inspired to use the loft style by the technical features of the room. After completely dismantling the old partitions and opening the floors and ceilings, it became clear that the rather old building needed structural reinforcement of the floors and ceilings. Marina Demchenko came to the conclusion that the loft concept would look most organic in this space - it would allow the technical aspects to be played up as an aesthetic component of the interior.

Therefore, I-beams on walls and ceilings simultaneously act as necessary load-bearing elements and at the same time decorative details. On the ceiling, I-beams are arranged in the form of a lathing; between the visible and invisible I-beams there is a removable mesh for access to the ceiling and communications.

The author of the project paid special attention to wood. It is present in the interior in different forms: these are dimmable light walls with built-in profiles, doors, and tabletops coated with resin. All this creates a democratic and very homely atmosphere in the coffee shop.

The coffee shop has 25 seats, and Marina Demchenko made sure that each of them has unsurpassed comfort, be it armchairs, bar stools or soft window sill spaces.

Traditional textures for the loft style - brick, concrete - were actively used in the design. However, the space does not look too brutal due to diffused lighting, tactilely pleasant furniture upholstery, and tastefully selected textiles in soft tones.

The author of the project also thought out the lighting of the coffee shop down to the smallest detail - so, to attract guests from the street, additional lighting was specially made in the windows with open light sources. And the 3D panels made of tinted oak on the walls have built-in light profiles dimmable from the remote control.

Marina Demchenko managed to find the perfect balance between the technical features of the building and its stylistic frame, resulting in a memorable, bright and attractive interior.
